Vitamin B is a general word used to describe a class of water soluble vitamins. This vitamin is classified into 8 different forms namely Vitamin B1(thiamin), Vitamin B2(riboflavin), vitamin B3(Niacin), Vitamin B5(pantothenic acid), vitamin B6(Pyridoxine), vitamin B7(biotin), vitamin B9(folate and folic acid), and vitamin B12. All these nutrients combined together are called vitamin B complex.

Deficiency of vitamin B is a term used to describe the level of vitamin B in an individual body which could lead to a number of harmful side effects inside the body such as disruption in circulatory and nervous system. Symptoms of vitamin B complex deficiency include tiredness or fatigue, constipation, weight loss, balance problems, poor memory, loss of appetite, numbness and tingling in the hands and feet, confusion, soreness of the mouth or tongue, Anemia, etc.

Who is at risk?

Due to a number of medical diseases or conditions, people are more likely to get deficiency of vitamin B. Such diseases and conditions include
