What is Viagra?

Viagra is a kind of medicine that is generally taken an hour before an individual need erection. Working Mechanism

Viagra is a kind of medicine that is available to us with a generic name Sildenafil which also belongs to Phosphodiesterase(PDE) inhibitors class of medication.

It works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the walls of blood vessels. This increases the flow of blood to the penis resulting in easier and longer erection. It works only during sexual stimualtion.

This medicineis not a cure for erectile dysfunction but a medicine to achieve erection in diabled men.

Cialis

It is thought that CIalis relaxes the smooth muscle in the prostate and bladder. It does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases (HIV, hepatitis B, gonorrhea, and syphilis).

The PDE5 inhibitors only work in the presence of nitric oxide, which is naturally released by the body during sexual arousal. About 60 to 70 percent of people take PDE5 inhibitors.

Cialis is available in several doses in tablet form: 2.5 milligrams (mg), 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg. Depending on the dose for ED, you can use it as needed before sexual activity, or take it once a day.

How to use?

Cialis and Viagra, both are available to us in a form of pill that must be taken by mouth as per your requirement but not more than 4 hours before sexual intercourse. The dosage and length of the treatment is based on your medical condition, response to the treatment and other medicine that you may be taking. You may take this medicine at the same time daily for improvement.

Swallow the tablet whole rather than chewing or crushing it in your mouth as it may release all the drug in your mouth which increases the risk of side effects. Your doctor may start you with a low dose which will increase gradually. Discuss all the other medicines that you might be taking along with Cialis or viagra for the same or different reasons. Follow the medical prescription carefully and inform your doctor in case of any exception or confusion.

Side effects

Aparts from common side effects observed during medication of both Viagra and Cialis, all other serious side effects that unusually occurs are often similar. Some of those similar unusual side effects include rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), trouble breathing, severe dizziness, decrease or loss of hearing, sometimes with ringing in the ears, sudden decreased vision, including permanent blindness, in one or both eyes, prolonged erection, fainting, chest/jaw/left arm pain, etc.

Side effects observed while medicating with Viagra are flushing, dizziness, upset stomach, headache, blurred vision sensitivity to light or trouble between blue and green color, etc.

Side effects of using Viagra and Cialis together

Viagra is often available in a larger dose when compared with cialis. Both the medicine does not associated any interaction between them as both are of same class. However, having two medicine of phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitors class together might increase the risk of side effects that are involved with them. Common side effects after consuming Viagra and Cialis together are as follows.

Is it safe?

Viagra and Cialis are a set of medicines that is usually not recommended to be consumed together. Combination of both these medicines does not improves erectile dysfunction. Also, the risk of side effects may get increased due to increase in dose.

However, both these medicines does not seem to have any dangerous interactions. It is best to consume these medicines under supervision of a doctor as incorporation of these drug with proper lifestyle might be beneficial to improve erectile dysfunction symptoms.
